Greek traditional rhythms and dances

(Copyright commons.wikimedia.org)

The percussion artist Simone Mongelli and the dancer Isabella Müllenbach analyze and develop in a harmonious synthesis rhythms and dance steps of traditional Greek dances. The often demanding rhythms with “body percussion” by using  the body (hands, feet, voice) give a holistic overview of the choreography and make the implementation of the dances with characteristic sequences of steps much easier  to succeed. In addition, on the second day of the workshop you get the chance to learn various traditional percussion instruments using body cavity and basic percussion techniques.
